Finally got to see Ready or Not 2 in the theater! I love the first movie and this one was so much fun, I absolutely love it! I'm gonna add characters to the Favorites page- there were so many funny moments and good fights! And brutal fights, sweet mercy. Also I love when Elijah Wood plays a Weird Little Guy. I'm absolutely gonna be adding it to my blu ray collection as soon as it's out!
Also, Reno turned *24* on Saturday which is absolutely impossible. He's been considered a senior for a few years now, on senior feed and everything, but it's just *weird*. Sometimes I tease him and call him an old man but most of the time he's still my bratty toddler. I was *planning* on going to the barn with a bunch of fun treats and a can of Reddi Whip to see what all he'd like, but unfortunately I somehow managed to scratch my eye while I was sleeping and it got worse throughout the day so I ended up first in urgent care and then in a stand-alone 24 Hour Emergency Room. But all of that talk is for the Disability Log.
And *tomorrow* Candy is turning 10! Which is also impossible!!! I raised this little bean since she could fit in my hand!!! How has it been ten years???? She's literally only a baby, she meowed when I called her that and everything! It was only yesterday that I was having to put on Over the Garden Wall on repeat all day when I left the house cause if she could hear dad in his office that shared a wall with my bedroom she would *lose her entire mind* and yell until someone played with her.

I remember thinking, at some point in the last few months, "I'll update the website when things settle out and I can get my thoughts in order" and then that just never happened. Mercy, mercy. It's been a lot. There's plenty of things that should go in the medical log and plenty that should go in the hobby log. A lot of what's been happening has revolved around those, I think. Especially if I include insurance in the disability stuff grouping. But other than that, I've still had stuff happening! My mom is finally fully retired. She went down to part-time for the last year? Two years? I'm trying to think of how long it's been. But she's now completely done. It's already really nice.
Also Reno is doing well! The farrier has been out to see him a couple times since I last said anything, and she's fantastic. She is super good at what she does and she's really patient and does well with him, and he likes her. He's finally walking completely fine and standing like he's supposed to with mostly even weight distribution! He's still on his back toes a little bit but once his tendons have time to adjust he should be totally normal. There's been a few other things at the barn that have been... frustrating... but I learned a long time ago to not say things online that you don't want getting talked about.
Also finally had the cats annual vet visit in January! They're both mostly fine- Hanners has finally lost *some* weight, it's only about a pound but it's something! Unfortunately Candy has lost weight too. She's now down to 6.4 pounds which is too skinny for her frame, she needs to be more like 8 or 9. I finally did ask about an ultrasound or more blood tests or something just to check and she said the emergency vet would be more well equipped. Mom and I are trying to get everything figured out before I drag Candy anywhere since leaving the house stresses her out. She's been doing okay, though! Asthma is still an issue, and the throw up comes in waves where she'll go for like a week totally fine but then throw up several times in one or two days. But other than that, totally normal!

Had Friendsgiving last night at one of my best friend's houses! It was so much fun- she made vegan chili, which I've never had before, and it was good! We had a bunch of desserts and they were all very good too. I brought rolls from a local(?) bbq chain and did some caramel apple cider. Played a couple rounds of Uno and got lovingly ruthless with it XD It was such a fun night!

Oh my goodness- I always say, usually around September, that I'm gonna start working on things so that I'm not rushing around around my birthday and then I don't. Although to be fair, half the stuff this week is not my fault. The thing that *is* my fault is I still need to get my car inspected and the registration renewed. It's not bad, I can do the registration part online, I just need to actually do it. I say every year that I'm gonna get it done at the beginning of the month instead of like on my birthday and then I just don't. But also, Reno has two appointments, one tomorrow and one Thursday- farrier and then vet. The vet is just shots but also since this is a new vet mom and I have our List of Things to Ask About. I'm not nervous, I met the vet when Reno had an abscess pop up in his hoof and he's gentle and nice, but I just always get worried if Reno needs to have something done- which will probably at least be getting his teeth floated and also getting the new vet to look at the squamous cell carcinoma on his third eyelid. All of this would be so much easier if we had our own barn and I didn't have to fight the end of morning rush hour traffic to get over there on time but I'm no closer to owning land than I am to growing wings and learning to fly.
Speaking of vet stuff, Candy and Hanners need their shots too, and I still have to make the appointment because I've been juggling my own appointments but also Candy does the *super fun* thing where she forgets what Hannibal smells like and treats him like a strange cat after either one of them go to the vet. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get her to remember, and fortunately their vet is working with me, but it still makes me dread having to take them in. Also cause, again, an hour drive into town. Hannibal complains the entire drive. I tell him I should have named him Anakin for how much he whines but he's not listening to me. I also tell him that I know it isn't fair, that no one's ever been on the Jedi Council without having been made a Master, but he still keeps yowling.
Also I turn 33 in ten days. Weird.

This past weekend I went and stayed with a very dear friend down in Galveston and it was so much fun! Her new place is right around the Strand and it's so pretty, plus it was great to go around without worrying about parking. It *was,* however, my first time going around down there with a rollator and I think at one point I said "wow, I don't think I ever realized how many different textures the sidewalks are!" I'm pretty sure most of the buildings are on the historic register and so probably grandfathered into not having to worry about accessibility, but I think I did okay and my sweet friend helped me out a ton. There was only one store I wanted to go into but couldn't navigate the stairs- for the most part I was able to go up and down the stairs backwards with the rollator but there was a crystal store where the stairs were just too steep. But the Thai place we love is perfectly accessible! All in all a very good weekend. And the cats did just fine, my parents checked on them on Saturday, but I'm pretty sure they're taking turns laying on me so I can never leave again, and Candy might be plotting how to sew herself to my skin.
I'm going into town tomorrow to pick up meds, packages, and vote! I'm determined to stay ontop of when voting dates are. At some point ?maybe tomorrow? I'm also gonna go check out the new H.E.B- for anyone who doesn't have one near them it's a grocery store chain but it's *really* nice, and they finally put one in about 45 minutes away from me, so I'm excited! 45 minutes isn't bad for around here.

Just testing to see if this looks okay. I decided to do another little thing for a diary- I keep wanting to mention things that aren't related to disability stuff or crafting/hobby stuff. Gonna look through all the dividers I have saved to find a good one for here.
